When a marriage comes apart, the ending itself is rarely the hardest part. What follows — the untangling of two lives, and the money caught between them — is where the real strain lives. 

 new Canadian survey put real numbers to that strain. BMO, working with Ipsos, asked more than 2,500 Canadians about the money side of marriage and divorce. What they found matches something I have seen up close — in my own life, and in the lives of the people I coach.
